Hundreds of SFUSD educators, parents and supporters gathered outside San Francisco’s Federal Building Tuesday, April 11 to protest proposed federal budget cuts to public schools under the Trump administration, highlighting their concerns surrounding newly-appointed U.S. Secretary of Education Betsy DeVos. The group then marched through Civic Center Plaza to SFUSD’s Administration Building at 555 Franklin Street to rally against the lack of affordable housing for teachers in San Francisco.
