UESF represents more than 6,500 SFUSD employees including teachers, paraprofessionals, nurses, counselors, and psychologists.

History in the making. 6,000 UESF members walked o History in the making. 6,000 UESF members walked out Monday. First strike in 47 years. We can’t wait for fully funded family healthcare, living wages, improved learning conditions in special education and housing protection for our families!

Educators across California are ready to strike - from LA to San Diego. When we organize, we win.
“A fair contract means being able to better serve “A fair contract means being able to better serve my students.” Jennifer Fan, Noriega Early Education School standing with UESF. When we organize together, we build the power to win what our students and communities need.
“I can’t afford to live in SF on a teacher’s salar “I can’t afford to live in SF on a teacher’s salary, so I work two jobs.” 4th grade educator fighting for living wage, affordable healthcare, and fully staffed schools.

Stand in solidarity with UESF, our students are counting on us.
SFUSD doesn’t have a financial problem, it has a p SFUSD doesn’t have a financial problem, it has a priorities problem. The district consistently miscalculates available funding. Resources exist to prioritize our students and fully fund our schools. Stand with us! Join us at 12pm at Dolores Park.
What an incredible day, San Francisco! You really What an incredible day, San Francisco! You really showed up for the schools our students deserve! 120 pickets across the city this morning, then 10,000 strong at Civic Center Plaza, demanding stable schools. When we fight, we win!
Strike Update: We continue to strike for the schoo Strike Update: We continue to strike for the schools our students deserve. Without major news which will be communicated widely, UESF members can expect a bargaining update tomorrow morning at picket lines. After morning pickets, we gather at 12pm at Dolores Park for a rally, and at 1:30 PM we will march to Civic Center. Encourage your communities to stay strong and stay united because when we fight, we win! See you tomorrow!

Thousands of educators, families, and community me Thousands of educators, families, and community members shut it down at San Francisco this morning. We are fighting for stable schools and the support our students deserve. SFUSD can’t ignore us anymore. This is just the beginning.

UESF IS ON STRIKE. We show up for SF students ever UESF IS ON STRIKE. We show up for SF students every day, yet SFUSD hoards tax dollars instead of investing in classrooms. We’ve fought for years to end the staffing crisis, but the district has refused.

Now we’re on the line fighting for fully funded healthcare, special education supports, living wages, and housing protections for our families. We don’t back down.

Join us on the picket lines! Monday, Feb 9.
Parents made cookies to show solidarity with UESF Parents made cookies to show solidarity with UESF educators. We love our students and families! When our community stands with us, we build the power to win. This is what solidarity looks like.
Last night at the table with SFUSD: their proposal Last night at the table with SFUSD: their proposals on special education, health care, and salary still don’t go far enough. We can’t accept raises with cuts to school sites. We can’t accept health care with heavy costs for members. The district knows what we’re asking for. We’ve said it again and again. Without a signed agreement, we’ll be on strike Monday.
We need to see serious movement from the District. We need to see serious movement from the District. Our team is working hard today to respond to the proposals we received last night. If no tentative agreement is reached today, Monday, we hit the picket lines! All our students and families deserve schools that provide safety and stability. When we stand together, we build the power to win. Our solidarity is our strength. Join us on the picket line tomorrow morning and at Civic Center Plaza at 1pm!

FINAL CALL. This is our last chance to demand what FINAL CALL. This is our last chance to demand what our educators and students deserve. SFUSD management must come to the table with a real offer NOW or face a strike. Send your letter to the Superintendent and Board of Education TODAY. We won’t back down. Link in bio.
Tomorrow, we are ready to strike for our students! Tomorrow, we are ready to strike for our students! We will do whatever it takes to win fully funded family healthcare, special education supports, living wages, and housing protections for our families! The time is NOW for the district to do the right thing and ensure every student and educator has the safe, stable schools we deserve.
2.7 Bargaining Update: We are thrilled to announce 2.7 Bargaining Update: We are thrilled to announce that we reached an agreement to protect Sanctuary Schools in our contract! This movement from the district is a direct result of the organizing and pressure our communities have placed on SFUSD.

UESF educators worked for nearly 12 hours today to reach an agreement. But were disappointed that there’s still little movement on wages, and there’s still no fully paid family healthcare. There is nearly 1 day left until we go on strike for the schools we know our students deserve. Time is running out. The district needs to step up.
