2025 We Can’t Wait Bargaining Platform
The first day of bargaining is set for this Monday, March 10! Your big bargaining team is comprised of 125 of you from over 80 worksites across all four regions of the city. Your team includes classroom teachers, paraprofessionals, psychologists, nurses, social workers, counselors, librarians, RSPs, and many more, representing roles from central office to PE, art, and family liaisons. Spanning Early Education, Elementary, Middle, and High School, as well as ACCESS and CARE programs, the team reflects the full breadth of our school communities.
Using data from your bargaining surveys and contract cafes, the We Can’t Wait for the Schools Our Students Deserve Platform was created. The goal for fully staffed schools, stable school communities, improved educator pay, and dignified learning and working conditions is reflected in the 20+ proposals your team wrote, that all seek to improve working and learning conditions as we fight for stable and fully staffed schools.
On Monday March 10, wear your union shirt to school to show your support for the bargaining team! After each bargaining session, you can expect a video update and slide deck to be shared by your bargaining team, which will include links to all the proposals that were passed and next steps. Your UBCs and work sites are more organized than ever before, so be sure to check in with your site leaders for updates. Additionally, stay informed by following the UESF social media accounts (Instagram, Facebook, Twitter) and checking back here for updates!
