We know educators are hard at work this week getting ready for that all important first day of school because we love our communities and care for our students!
Educators are also expressing concerns about the surge in the delta variant of COVID-19. There’s a lot UBRs and UBC Site Leaders can do to work with other educators to address those concerns. The resources to support you are below!

UESF COVID-19 Protocols FAQ

It can help you navigate collaborate with your administration on site to make sure protocols are in place. The UBC has a contractual right to be engaged in this process. Reach out to your rep if the administration isn’t working with you.
Health & Safety Walkthrough
Plan to schedule a UBC meeting as soon as possible. Even if it’s just a quick 10-minute meeting, it will be time well spent. At this meeting please plan to do the following:
▢ Distribute to attendees.
▢ Ask everyone to scan the QR code located on the back of the flyer with their phone.
▢ Review the Health and Safety Walkthrough with the staff and ask for volunteers to support completing the walkthrough
Online Health & Safety Reporting Form
Use the walkthrough (after you have shared a copy with your administration) to fill out the online reporting form. Note: they mirror each other to make it easy! We can then support educator leaders at sites to follow up and make sure district management follows all the protocols and collectively plan for additional actions if needed.
